The Deadline is Approaching!
Once again, members of the FUMC congregation will return to KUSD classrooms and spend 30-45 minutes with the same student every week. Being an adult friend, role model and encourager are the primary requirements during the school day – mentors don’t assist with homework.
There is a waiting list for mentors – so many KUSD children are in need of extra encouragement. This is a way to support local education and our children. New mentors for the school year are encouraged to self-identify by mid-August so they can complete paperwork and training to be ready for a late September start.
