During the month of February we will be studying the life of Dr. Martin Luther King as detailed in the Pulitzer Prize winning book, King A Life by Jonathan Eig. We will be looking at the life of Dr. King how he was raised, where he studied, the challenges of his family legacy and his movement into the Civil Rights movement. We will follow his ascendancy in leading the movement, his social and political activism and the theological underpinnings of his life’s
work. We will discuss and debate how he might feel as being the most quoted person in the world, and how often those who would quote him, may have missed the point of who he was and his work. The study will be divided into 4 Sessions, beginning Sunday February 2 – February 23. It will be from 9:15-10 AM in the Wesley Room.
