Sunday, October 4 is World Communion Sunday. We will celebrate the sacrament of holy communion with our brothers and sisters in Christ all over the world as we are reminded of our unity in Christ. If you are worshiping online, plan on having bread, and drink with you during worship to share in the sacrament. If you are worshiping in person, we will be distributing individually packaged cups and wafers for use in the pews.
We also continue our focus on compassion. This week's scripture text is from John 20.21 focusing on Jesus sending us out in the world to have compassion upon others.
We are still working on live streaming. New equipment is being ordered to get this up and running. Check-in and join us for worship this Sunday in person or online.
In-building worship reservations can be made through the website, www.firstumckenosha.org, or by calling 262-237-8791 and leave a message.
Volunteers are needed to support worship services. Greeters, ushers, and sound techs are all needed to provide in-person worship. Sign up for a date and time that works for you at firstumckenosha.org or contact Pastor Justin at justin@firstumckenosha.com.
Sunday School for children and youth is at 9 am on Sunday mornings by zoom. If your child or youth is not receiving invitations to participate, contact Pamela Garside-Meyers, pgarside@wi.rr.com, for children's classes or Pastor Justin, justin@firstumckenosha.com, for youth classes.
